PROGRAM PILLARS
1 in 5 students is bullied and 73% of that occurs online. With the exponential use of social media, students are experiencing bullying more than ever before. It is crucial that students are equipped with the tools and strategies to be able to not only face bullying despite fear, but overcome it.
Bully victims are 2-9x more likely to die by suicide than non-victims. With the staggering suicide rates in America claiming lives younger and younger by the year, Kaycee's Warriors teaches how to identify warning signs and get connected to help.
Mental health conditions such as anxiety and depression are at an all-time high for teens and adolescents, and victims of bullying are at an increased risk for these among other conditions. Through Kaycee's Warriors, teens can receive help and advice to manage symptoms that manifest in social situations.
In this digital age, teens can't avoid social media forever, but with mentoring, they can learn learn how to cope with it and build confidence despite it. Kaycee's Warriors equips teens with real stories and experiences to begin the dialogue surrounding body image.
PROGRAM STRUCTURE
BECOME A WARRIOR
Becoming a warrior is simple! Want to be one? Consider it done! If you follow Kaycee's Warriors on social media, read the blog, have one of our presentations at your school or organization, or are simply just a supporter, welcome to the family! We are happy to have you.
PROGRAM OFFERINGS
- Attend one-on-one mentoring sessions with Kaycee (offered in-person or virtually)
- Have Kaycee's Warriors present at your school or group to deliver an interactive workshop
- Invite Kaycee to read and present curriculum to your class (most suitable for younger grades)
- Have Kaycee speak to teachers, parents, administrators, or parallel groups
THE M.I.R.R.O.R. FRAMEWORK
Kaycee's Warriors is based upon the original M.I.R.R.O.R. Framework, guided by the acronym "mirror" because reflection and recognition are key factors to healing.
