ABOUT THE PROGRAM

Mission: Enrich the lives of teens through support, inspiration, and empowerment; effectively impact Warriors in different ways specific to their individual needs.

Hello everyone! My name is Kaycee Krell and I am the founder of Kaycee's Warriors.

I am a senior at the University of Kansas studying Community Health with a minor in Psychology. I currently serve a Community Health Intern with Lawrence Public Schools, implementing social-emotional learning curriculum and wellness initiatives.

I created Kaycee's Warriors in 2019, and I am in awe of how much it has grown. When I began the program, it was just getting off the ground. Now, it has gone beyond what I ever thought was possible, expanding nationally with The Warrior Blog, being featured on PACER National Bullying Prevention Center as a Champion Against Bullying, and sharing my curriculum nationally across schools, communities, and across social media.

I created and continue to promote my  Service Initiative, "The M.I.R.R.O.R: A Reflection on Overcoming Bullying". This program is based on my personal experiences through my struggles with bullying. I realize not every individual experiences the pain of being bullied; that is why Kaycee's Warriors is fundamental for all individuals, such as parents of bully victims, school administrators, bystanders, and bullies themselves. It is put in place for support, inspiration, and empowerment; but education is imperative in order to make a change.

My hope is to change the way youth and teens see the world and treat each other. My goal is for them to enter their next endeavor with a clear vision of success, not only overcoming bullying but fighting against it.
